VOC’s are chemical compounds, from materials, that off gas at normal temperatures, these gases can be carcinogenic and harmfully.
VOC’s have become a significant health issue. Many of the products we use and ones that are imported i.e. cabinets, insulation, flooring, coverings, etc. contain high levels of VOC’s.
VOCs are regulated by law, especially indoors, where concentrations are the highest.
Harmful VOCs typically are not acutely toxic, but have compounding long-term health effects.
Importantly, MVOCs are biomarkers for molds that produce toxins that have adverse health effects.
Areas – Living and Non Living Areas
Provides:
A report is prepared describing both the TVOC (Total Volatile Organic Compounds) & TMVOC (Total Mold Volatile Organic Compounds) levels of contamination.
Determines level of actively growing (hidden) mold using Total MVOCs
Quantification of 21 specific MVOCs.
Categorization of mold level as Minimal, Low, Moderate, Heavy, or Severe
A Contamination Index™ that predicts materials sources of chemicals, list of Significant VOCs and EPA Hazardous Air Pollutants (HAPs).
Low-cost analysis for Indoor Air Pollutants.
Sample Methodology:
Using IAQ Check™, an air sample is collected for 3.5 hours, this sample covers up to about 2,000 sq. ft.
The sample is then sent to for analysis that determines the level of VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds) and MVOCs (Mold Volatile Organic Compounds), or actively growing mold.
